The Benefits of Cisco Certification

Around 6 years ago, I started training to get Cisco certification. I took their online learning modules, under the guidance of our Computer Science professors. We covered a lot of topics, from the basics to very advanced sections, and updated ourselves with the current technologies. We learned to create networks of computers, from Local Area Networks to Wide Area Networks, and developed skills that would be very much needed in this fast-evolving world. For every chapter, we would quiz ourselves, and for every semester, we would take an online exam. This way, we could keep track of how much we learned, and we would know if we needed to exert more effort in learning today's standards.

Looking back, it was a challenging experience, and I really learned a lot. Most of the time spent is reading through their online modules, which may not be easy if you're not used to reading a lot of material. The key is to spend time solely for studying the topics in their modules, with no distractions whatsoever. Once you get started, it'll be easier and you'll learn faster. At least that's what I've experienced. The time you spend is definitely worth it, as their modules are packed with powerful knowledge.

I finished their entire course, however, during that time I failed to take the Cisco Certification exam, which would have benefited me a lot. With their Cisco certification it would be a lot easier to find a stable job. Despite not being able to take the certification, I carry the knowledge I learned with me. I use it to deal with some of my clients, who specialize in networking and communications technologies and I have been met with success. What more if I could be certified, so I'm planning to take the Cisco certification in the near future.

Should you enroll in their program? Yes, definitely. Becoming certified will greatly boost your career. I highly recommend enrolling in their Cisco certification program.
